Thrust Chambers

The thrust chambers were in tall tubs whose diameters was not much greater than the thrust chambers themselves. I had to stand on a ladder in order to take these photographs.

There were four thrust chambers recovered (one for the Museum of Flight, one for the National Air & Space Museum, one for the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and one for the Cosmosphere itself), of which I photographed two.

See my page on the F-1 thrust chamber.
