Faith 7

Faith 7 is displayed with half of its heatshield.

Now, here's an interesting little collection of facts:

• Faith 7 is displayed at Space Center Houston with half of its heatshield.
• The Astronaut Hall of Fame has half of Faith 7's heatshield.
• The James S. McDonnell Prologue Room has perhaps 1/6 of Faith 7's heatshield.

Even allowing for the fact that 3 years had elapsed since the time I had seen the AHOF's section of heatshield by the time I saw the Prologue Room's section of heatshield, and the possibility that the AHOF may have somehow traded part of the Faith 7 heatshield for other artifacts, the AHOF's heatshield has a number of holes cut into it, and there doesn't appear to be a large-enough section without holes to allow for this type of hypothetical trade.

I can't help but think that someone has something other than what they think they have ...

As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of Faith 7, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced.
