Smithsonian Turbine Wheels

A set of turbopump turbine wheels. While the first-stage wheel is largely intact (other than missing its center, where it would attach to the shaft; it's possible that this is the set which corresponds to the Smithsonian's turbopump), the second-stage wheel appears to be missing many of its blades. A full complement of turbine blades is 119 for first-stage wheel and 109 for the second-stage wheel.

I was unable to determine a Smithsonian inventory number for these turbine wheels. It appears that these turbine wheels have not been reunited with their turbopump prior to being placed on display at the museum.
