Jupiter

Air Power Park displays a Jupiter missile. As with many Jupiters displayed outdoors, the flame curtain originally installed to protect the engine compartment of the aft skirt has disintegrated, allowing visitors a view into the engine compartment.

If you're up for some reading about the Jupiter program, the Redstone Arsenal has both an abridged and a full-length (direct link to 6.6 meg PDF) version of the monograph, History of the the Jupiter Missile System.

As of now, I have not yet sorted through all of my pictures of the Jupiter, but some other page references this location. Thus, this is a "place holder" version right now, with only the pictures actually referenced. Come back some time later to see if I've finished up, or drop me an email to request me to prioritize the rest of these pictures.
