Grissom Liberty Bell 7 Suit

The Grissom suit is the first thing which greets the visitor upon entering the main gallery.

It display case in which it is located is lit from the bottom with lights which contantly changed not only in intensity but also in color, giving the suit an almost ghoulish appearance (not to mention making photography exceptionally difficult).

The Grissom Memorial also displays what is stated to be Grissom's MR-4 flight helmet. Strictly speaking, the AHOF's signage only claims that the suit was the flight suit, so I suppose they could claim that only the suit (and not the helmet) was worn on the flight ...
